Management Development Programme
A practical programme for emerging managers and supervisors. You work through one module at a time, practise it with a facilitator on Zoom, and then use it in your own workplace, where a manager reviews your evidence.
The programme at a glance
Ten modules

- Module 2: Management and Leadership. The manager's role, accountability, and leading by example.
- Module 3: Planning, Prioritisation and Time Management. Planning ahead, urgent versus important, and managing deadlines and competing demands.
- Module 4: People Management. Motivation, workplace conflict, coaching and professional conduct.
- Module 5: Communication for Managers. Clear instructions, feedback, good questions, meetings and difficult conversations.
- Module 6: Supervisory Skills. Planning a shift, monitoring standards, following up and reporting.
- Module 7: Delegation and Accountability. What to delegate, setting expectations, checking progress and staying accountable.

- Module 10: Continuous Improvement. Finding root causes, measuring improvements and responding to suggestions.
Learn, test, apply, verify
- Learn. You read the module and then work through it with the facilitator in a live Zoom session, with practice and feedback.
- Test. You answer 18 multiple-choice questions. You need at least 15 correct, which is at least 80%.
- Apply. You complete a task in your own workplace, using real work, and keep the evidence.
- Verify. A manager at your workplace reviews your evidence and records whether you have shown the skill. A plan or a conversation alone does not count as having done the work. Anything not yet shown is followed up before the module is complete.
At the end
- A supervised final knowledge assessment of 40 questions, 80 minutes, on Zoom (at least 80% to pass)
- A final workplace competency assessment across twelve management areas
- A management improvement project on a real issue in your workplace
- MK Global Certificate of Completion
The certificate records completion of a private, workplace-based programme. It is not a registered or accredited qualification, and it is not a SAQA, NQF or SETA qualification or learnership.
This is an unaccredited workplace skills development programme for educational purposes. It does not give legal, human resources or statutory compliance advice. Employers and learners remain responsible for complying with South African labour, health and safety and data protection law, and for following their own policies, procedures and registered disciplinary code. Workplace evidence is anonymised and gathered only with the consent of the employer and of any colleagues it involves.

Common questions
Who is this for?
Emerging managers, team leaders and supervisors who manage or are about to manage people, and who have a workplace where they can apply what they learn. It is not a qualification and is not aimed at people who want an academic degree.
What do I need to take part?
A real management or supervisory role, or a workplace where you can do the tasks. A manager or supervisor at your workplace who can review your work and sign it off. A computer or phone with a camera, a microphone and a stable internet connection to join Zoom. Paper and a pen for the final knowledge assessment.
How much time does it take?
Plan for a live Zoom session of about 60 to 75 minutes each week, plus reading the module, a short test and a workplace task. The recommended length is 10 to 12 weeks. You complete it when your evidence is complete, not on a fixed date, so some people take longer.
Is this an accredited qualification?
No. It is a private, workplace-based development programme. On completion you receive an MK Global Certificate of Completion. It is not a registered or accredited qualification, and it is not a SAQA, NQF or SETA qualification or learnership.
How does the payment and enrolment work?

You may cancel your enrolment and receive a full refund within 7 days of confirmation, or at any time up until the live orientation session starts, whichever is later. Full refunds are processed without any administrative or payment deductions within 30 days of cancellation.
